Tonight I was grinding away on 46 tables. This hand popped up.

    Hero JJ
    Flop: J♠35
    Action: Bet/Raise/Reraise/Ship/Call
    Villain Shows: A♠K♠

Now…I’m playing 46 tables here. Hands are flying by. To keep this table handy and see what happens is a bit taxing to my processes. And, honestly, what does it matter from here. I know his hand, we’re all in, etc.

To my surprise, I said in my best yoda voice (and it’s not very good), “If to the river you go…”. Never said that before, no idea how it came out of my mouth (How does that happen?). Anyway, the scene would go like this:

The disciplined player would send the table away and move on. How did I do?

Anyway, I held up. But, hey, I was supposed to win anyway, right?

OMG, how could you just let that table sit there for so long? And actually care about the results of a flip? Were you hoping he had the nut low? Such absurdity. Ruination waits at your doorstep.

Ha!. Someday I hope my criticisms of my play are at this level, and not “How do I stop end of the night ‘Oh f-it, call.’ decisions?”

    Someday..
